Nested Div

When it comes to elucidating my education philosophy, I would have to start by hauling out the speech I make to my yearbook students the first day of every school year. Among other things, I tell them about entropy, that force of nature that resists the order we attempt to impose on our world. brookbend

Things fall apart, the center cannot hold, as Yeats once put it. Before they embark on such a perilous adult enterprise as daring to publish their work for a paying audience (who isn't paying them), they should know of the land mines and booby traps that the universe lays out for the unsuspecting. Order can be maintained, I say to them, but only through a constant application of energy. One kind of energy is the good old physical kind: labor, electricity, and so on. The other kind is inside their heads.

These are days to remember

My instructional web home contains details about my Photojournalism, Network/Telecommunications and Multimedia curricula, including tutorials on everything from photographic composition to using applications such as Photoshop for image manipulation, webmastering with Dreamweaver, and InDesign for page layout.

Green Spaces
This is the log crossing between the two properties. The neighbors have an enclosed patio with a hot tub, so if you fall into the cold creek (it's cold even in July) you can run up the hill and jump into the hot tub to warm back up. Don't leave your clothes out in the sun to dry, though, because it will almost always rain at some time in the afternoon.

There is a restaurant nearby called the Eagle's Nest where pancakes are as big as a pizza platter. You need a quart of syrup and a stick of butter to cover the whole thing. Even their mild version of huevos rancheros will set your tongue on fire.

This is where I spent my summer vacation in Ruidoso. The creek bounded the east edge of the property.

AP Div Project Checklist

Your page must contain all of the following elements:

3 absoloutely positioned divs
2 nested AP divs
2 images assigned classes with float values, with at least one inserted in the middle of a paragraph (as seen to the left)

When you are finished, preview your page in Firefox. Use the Web Developer toolbar to display the Div Order. Go to Information› Display Div Order. Tooltips will appear at the top of each div. It may mess up your design but that is okay. Print the page displaying the Div Order, put your name on it, and turn it in to me.
