Saving Web Images in Photoshop

Optimizing your pictures for viewing online

	Open Your Collage
	With your completed collage open, go to File>Save for Web & Devices. On the right side, in the Settings window, click the first menu on the left to save as JPEG format if it is not already selected, and choose "JPEG High" on the menu above for the highest image quality.
	Scale Your Web Image
	Go to the Image Size tab on the lower right side. In the New Size area, set the width of your image to 600 pixels and click the Apply button. If you constructed your image on a background that is less than 600 pixels wide, you will skip this step, as your image is already the right size to fit on your web page. Finally, click Save, making sure your image will end up in the same folder on the server as your other images, and close your images. Unless you have changed something on your collage, you don’t have to save it here. Now, let's return to the tutorial you used to build your web page presentation last semester.
